Faithful Retreat

What are the objectives of this course?

• Students will learn about the chronological life of the Prophet ﷺ, particularly the Makkan period.

• Students will gain a tangible understanding of the Prophetic model and his Sunnah.

• Students will be able to apply learned concepts to real life modern day situations relevant to the teenage experience.

What do students need to know before class?

• We at Roots welcome all to learn and grow in their spirituality and love for Islam. We do not require our attendees to have any prior knowledge or have any prerequisite. The way we engage with our attendees should be accessible to everyone of all knowledge levels.

What age group is this class for?

• This class will be catered towards teenagers ages 13-17. The way it will be taught will be relatable to the adolescent experience.

What will be the manner of teaching/engagement in this class?

• This class will be structured with the following schedule:

  • Intro and review of previous session

  • Main lesson portion (involving teacher delivered lecture with student breakout groups and discussion)

  • Class wide review of learned concepts
